Setting up Your Rig

Arvee uses RV-safe routing when showing the route between destinations of your trips, designed to avoid hazards like overly tight turns or low bridges. To do so correctly, you must configure your account with key details about your rig.

Warning

No automated routing tool should be considered 100% accurate, and there is always a risk that the provided route my have hazards that would be dangerous or hazardous. Always exercise caution while driving!

To configure your rig settings, click your email address in the upper-right hand corner of the application after logging in. Then, click on the Settings menu item.

How to open your account settings

Note

If no route is available that avoids a particular stated preference, under some circumstances we may route through that preference anyway. For example, if you have avoided dirt roads but the destination requires a dirt road to get to.

Drive Time

The drive time setting in Arvee is a powerful one, which allows you to quickly and accurately identify destinations that should be reachable from a given starting point under normal driving conditions.

Info

For more information on Drive Time ranges, visit the Drive Time / Distance Estimates page.

The drive time radius also is used to help you at a glance identify legs of a trip’s itinerary that exceed your preferences. These warnings can be found in a trip’s itinerary highlighted in red.

Carrying Propane

The Carrying Propane option instructs the router that your vehicle has propane on board, and as such is subject to various restrictions on what routes can be taken for legal and safety reasons. For example, some tunnels do not permit vehicles that have propane on board to use them. By enabling this setting the router will make best efforts to route around such restrictions automatically.

Avoid Ferries

Enabling this setting will instruct the router to prefer trips that do not use a Ferry for transportation.

Avoid Tolls

Enabling this setting will instruct the router to avoid roads that charge a toll.

Avoid Dirt Roads

Enabling this setting will instruct the router to prefer routes that do not require a dirt road.

Avoid U-Turns

Enabling this setting will instruct the router to prefer routes that do not require a u-turn.

Avoid Tunnels

Enabling this setting will instruct the router to prefer routes that avoid the use of tunnels.

Map Markers

Marker Menu

There are many different types of marker covering dumpsites, overnights and types of campgrounds. Including markers indicating campgrounds that participate in programs like Good Sam’s for example.

To start configuring your map marker preferences, click your email address in the upper-right hand corner of the application after logging in. Then, click on the Settings menu item.

How to open your account settings

This will bring up the Settings Dialog, which by default is open to rig setting. Click the “Markers” item on the blue toolbar to bring up the marker priority screen. There are more than a dozen map markers available in Arvee. To see all of the available markers, scroll down using your mouse or the scroll bar on the right of the menu.

Marker Menu

Marker Priorities

The order of the markers in the list determines how they will be displayed. For example, in the previous example, Passport America is higher in the list than Good Sam. If a campground participates in both of these programs, like in the case of The Sands Golf & RV Resort, then the marker will display Passport America.

Card Example

If you happen to have Good Sam and would like that to be what the map shows, you can change the order of the map markers. Hover over the two lines of dots to the right of the marker you would like to move. A hand icon will appear and you can click and drag the marker to where you would like it in the list. This will change the marker on your map to Good Sam instead of Passport America.

Create A Trip Card

Note

If your account does not have any trips upon login, you will automatically be taken to the trip creation map and thus do not have to click the “Create a New Trip” card.

Starting Your Trip

Once on the trip creation map, you must select a starting location to begin your trip from. This can be done multiple ways:

  • Typing in the location, address, etc. into the search bar
  • Selecting an existing marker on the map

Regardless of how you choose a starting location, you will be shown the marker detail card. On this card you will find the button “Begin Trip Here”. Clicking this button will choose the location as the starting location for your trip.

Begin Trip Here

To complete the process of creating a new trip, complete the dialog that appears by providing a trip name, selecting a start date for your trip to begin, and then clicking “Create Your Trip”.

Create Trip Dialog

Once your trip has been created you will return to the map screen to continue planning your trip!

Note

Once you have created your first trip the Arvee dashboard will become available to you, allowing you to manage multiple trips and access various other features.

Finding Your Location

Arvee supports the ability to locate you based on the location data available on the device you are using. To do this, simply click the GPS icon on the map, which determines your location and takes the map to the calculated location.

The accuracy of the location Arvee is able to acquire is dependent on the device used.

Info

When you click the GPS icon on the map for the first time, your device may prompt you to give permission to Arvee to access your location. If you do not provide this permission, the feature will not work.

The Overnight Details Card

Understanding the Stop-over Max Stay

Welcome to our guide on the stop-over time limits within the application. We understand that knowing how long you can stay at each stop-over location is crucial for planning a smooth and enjoyable journey. Thus, we provide a “max stay” duration for various stop-over spots such as retail stores and rest areas.

When available, stop-over time limits are shown at the bottom of the location detail card, as can be seen in this example.

An example of an overnight location card

It’s important to understand that these durations are not one-sze-fits-all and can vary significantly based on the type of location and its geographic setting.

How We Determine “Max Stay” Durations

Large Retailers (e.g., Walmart):

For large retail chains like Walmart, we generally sets a limit of about 12 hours. This duration is based on common practices observed across these retailers, allowing RV travelers enough time to rest without overstaying their welcome.

Other Retail Locations

Smaller or individual retail locations have more varied policies. The “max stay” at these sites as indicated by Arvee may change from day to day and is heavily influenced by the specific store’s rules, the parking lot size, and the local regulations. Therefore, the duration provided by Arvee in these cases should be seen as a general guideline.

Rest Areas

For rest stops, we rely on state laws to provide the most accurate “max stay” information. Each state has its laws regarding the length of time you can remain at a rest area. We does its best to reflect these legal limits in the app, offering a reliable estimate for your planning. Due to changing laws, it is always best to confirm our information first.

Importance of Confirmation

While we strive to provide accurate and helpful “max stay” durations, it’s crucial to recognize that our recommendations are guidelines subject to local and state ordinances, as well as the preferences of the property owner. As such, we strongly advise that you:

  • Always Confirm: Before settling in for your stop-over, take a moment to confirm the allowed stay duration. This can be as simple as asking a store manager, or looking for posted information at rest areas.
  • Stay Informed of Local Laws: Be aware that local and state laws can influence parking times, especially in different cities or regions.
  • Be Respectful: Remember that these locations are generously accommodating RV travelers. Respecting their policies and time limits ensures these options remain available for you and other travelers in the future.

By staying informed and respectful of each location’s “max stay” guidelines, you can enjoy a worry-free journey. Remember, a little courtesy goes a long way in maintaining the wonderful relationships we have with our stop-over hosts in the RV community!.

Navigating Overnight RV Parking at Retail Locations

Among the many decisions RVers face, finding a safe and convenient place to park overnight is often necessary. Retail giants like Walmart and Cracker Barrel often are willing to allow RVers to stay the night in their parking lots. However, it’s not as simple as just pulling in and calling it a night. Before you add the nearest retail giant to your itinerary, it’s crucial to navigate the complexities of overnight RV parking with respect and awareness.

Call Ahead, Every Time

Retail locations are not public property; they’re privately owned and operated, which means the rules can vary significantly from one place to another. The decision to allow RV parking rests primarily with the location manager and can be influenced by several factors:

  • Local Laws and Ordinances: Some areas have specific regulations that prohibit overnight parking.
  • Managerial Discretion: The store manager has the final say, often based on past experiences or company policy.
  • Community Relations: Locations may alter their policies based on how RV parking affects their relationship with the local community.

To avoid unwelcome surprises, always call ahead and confirm that overnight parking is permitted. Obtain the name of the person who grants permission. This small step can provide clarity and a point of reference if there are any misunderstandings upon your arrival.

Parking Etiquette: Being a Considerate Guest

Once you’ve received the green light to park overnight, your behavior and how you use the space can significantly impact future policies and the availability of this privilege for other RVers. Here are some crucial tips to ensure a harmonious stay:

  • Discreet Setup: Treat the parking lot as a temporary rest spot, not a campground. While extending slide-outs for space might be acceptable, avoid “setting up camp.” This means keeping grills, chairs, awnings, and other outdoor amenities stowed away. Your aim should be to maintain a low profile and minimize your footprint.
  • Follow Parking Instructions: Adhere to any guidance provided by the store about where to park. Often, you’ll be directed to a specific area of the lot that’s away from the main customer flow. This not only helps the store maintain normal operations but also provides a quieter, more secluded spot for you to rest.
  • Support with Your Wallet: If you’re benefiting from a night’s stay free of charge, it’s a kind gesture to patronize the business. Whether it’s stocking up on supplies from Walmart or enjoying a meal at Cracker Barrel, showing your appreciation through your business fosters a positive relationship and encourages the continuation of such policies.

The opportunity to park overnight at retail locations is a privilege that comes with significant responsibility. By ensuring open communication with the location’s management, respecting local laws, and adhering to a code of conduct that prioritizes discretion and gratitude, you can enjoy the conveniences these spaces offer. Remember, your actions don’t just affect your stay; they pave the way for the entire RV community.

Trip Itineraries

The trip itinerary is the side bar of the map when a trip is opened. It can be seen on desktop versions of the application at all times, while on mobile devices the menu button must be pressed to reveal it.

This sidebar represents your trip as currently planned. It displays each stop in your journey in order and provides key details such as the distance between / estimated drive time between these destinations, and departure dates for each leg.

If required, the trip itinerary will also show gaps in your trip where nothing is planned for one or more nights between stops.

In desktop environments, location detail cards can be dragged into the trip itinerary to quickly add them to the trip. See Adding a Destination for more information.

Info

The trip itinerary side bar is not available when creating a new trip.

#An example trip itinerary

Unplanned nights

As you build out a trip itinerary, it is possible to create gaps in the trip plan. These gaps are indicated in the itinerary as unplanned nights, showing up in red between stops:

An example of how unplanned nights look

As shown in the example above, we can see that based on the departure and arrival dates there are 8 unplanned nights between the stops in this trip.

Having unplanned nights in your trip is not in and of itself a problem. In fact, perhaps you intend to have a gap between stops for any number of reasons. To correct the issue, simply ensure that no gaps exist between the departures and arrival dates for each stop in the plan.

Drive Time and Distance Estimates

As part of the trip planner, Arvee provides its users with various estimates of the driving times and distance between stops of a trip’s itinerary. Let’s look at a few of these examples.

Drive Time Ranges

When you click on a location in the trip planner while planning a trip, a polygon will be rendered that displays the outermost range of your drive time preference. For example, below is an example of a 3 hour drive time range for a park near Yellowstone.

An example driving range

These drive time ranges are based on your account settings (see Routing Preferences), and represent an estimation of how far you could make it in the configured time based on the normal driving conditions and the speed limits of the various roads available.

Delays in Drive Time Ranges

It may take up to 10 minutes for locations that are new to the database (e.g. Custom Locations) to show a drive time range.

Drive Time and Distance Estimates

In addition to Drive Time Ranges, which are designed to help you understand where to begin the search for the next stop in your journey, the trip itinerary itself also provides drive time and distance estimates for each stop in the trip.

An example of drive time and distance estimates in a trip

As seen above, we have two examples of these estimates to understand. The first example shows a drive time and distance that exceeds the configured drive time preferences as set in Routing Preferences. Conversely, the second shows a drive time / distance that is within the range of the configured preferences.

Departure Dates

While planning a trip in Arvee you may note that the calculated departure dates are provided for each stop in the plan. These dates may not necessarily be ituitive, especially for new users or complicated plans that make use of both flexible and fixed date stops.

When calculating departure dates, all of the trip items that proceed a particular date are taken into account going back to the start location for thr trip. For example:

Stop NumberDate(s)Departure Date
1April 1stApril 1st
25 night (flexible)April 6th
3April 10th - April 15thApril 15th

As shown, the trip starts April 1st. However, the 2nd stop in the trip is a 5 night “flexible” date, meaning it’s arrival and departure dates and based on the proceeding item in the trip. In this case, that means the arrival would be April 1st as well and departure of April 6th (five nights later).

Conversely, the 3rd item in the trip has fixed dates for arrivals and departures, so in this case the departure date is more straightforward as April 15th.

Info

Flexible night stays are always assumed to start at the beginning of the window provided between the previous and next stop. For example, if you have 15 unplanned nights between two stops and add a flexible destination that is set for 5 nights, it will be assumed those 5 nights start immediately on the departure date of the proceeding item.

If this is not your intent, use fixed dates to inform the system of exactly what dates you would like your stop to be.

Adding a stop to a trip

Adding a stop to the itinerary of a trip can be done one of two ways:

  • Dragging the details card into the itinerary (desktop only)
  • Clicking “Add to Trip” on a details card

Dragging a Destination Into the Itinerary

Warning

Drag and drop is only available when using a desktop or a sufficiently large tablet when accessing the application

When dragging a card, simply grab the card by the drag handle and drop it in the trip itinerary below or above an existing destination.

Dragging a card into the itinerary

Using the “Add to Trip” button

A destination can also be added to the itinerary by clicking the “Add to Trip” button on the details card. Doing so will bring up a dialog that will allow you to quickly select where in the existing itinerary you would like to add this destination.

Using the add to trip dialog to add a stop

Simply click “Add Stop Here” to inject your chosen destination into the itinerary at the desired position.

Editing Stop Dates

To edit the dates for a particular stop, click the menu icon for the stop you would like to edit and select the “Edit Dates” option.

Opening the Edit Dates Dialog

This will open the editing dates dialog, which allows you to edit the dates for this stop either as a flexible date or as a fixed date

Flexible Dates vs. Fixed Dates

For any given routed destination you can specify Flexible or Fixed Dates. Fixed dates are simply those that have a concrete arrival and departure date. Flexible dates, in constrast, are only represented as a number of nights to stay at the location, with the actual arrival and departure dates being calculated based on its position in the trip itinerary and the dates of the proceeding the stop.

Selecting a Fixed Date

When selecting a fixed date, you will be presented with a calendar to select the arrival and departure date. You should note that this is a two-step process, where the only selectable dates for step one will be possible arrival dates (based on the current trip itinerary). Once a valid start date has been selected the calendar will adjust to show you all of the valid departure dates based on the selected start date.

Note

What start dates will be available to select is highly dependent on the arrival and departure dates of other items in the itinerary. Likewise, the final collection of available departure dates will be dependent on the trip items that follow the item being edited.

Editing / Viewing Stop Notes

You can write freeform notes for each stop in your trip, which can be useful for capturing details that are not otherwise available for a stop such as freeform navigation instructions, additional contact details for a location, etc.

Info

The maximum size of a note for any given stop is 65,354 characters in length – including whitespace.

To view or edit the notes associated with a stop, click the “Edit / View Notes” menu item for a particular stop:

Edit Notes Menu

This will bring up the notes dialog, where you can enter any freeform notes you might want to store with with this destination:

Edit Notes Dialog

To update or save the notes, simply click “Save Notes”

Understanding Search Filters

Utilizing search filters in your trip planning app can significantly enhance your travel planning experience by allowing you to customize and refine your search results to match your specific preferences and needs. By default the search will include everything. To narrow things down, you can edit the search filter ast the top of the map. This will let you narrow search using several criteria.

Basic Search

Creating New Filters

Arvee gives you the capability to manage multiple search profiles depending on your camping needs. In this example we will create a new search profile that just shows some select types of parks (Good Sam’s, Passport America and Thousand Trails).

  1. Click on Search Filters and choose “Edit Search Filters”

Custom Locations

Arvee supports the creation and management of your own, private, custom locations for use in your trip planning.

These locations can be used in multiple powerful ways to enhance your trip planning experience, including:

  • Adding locations such as your home, or the home of family members
  • Keeping track of your favorite boondocking locations
  • and more!

Please use the resources below to learn about the custom locations feature:

Adding a Custom Location

To add a custom location to your account, you have multiple options.

While planning your trip

You can quickly create a custom location while planning your trip by searching for the desired address or GPS coordinates, and then adding that location to the current trip.

Searching for a custom location

To begin adding a custom location to your account while planning a trip, use the search bar to search for a location. This can be a GPS coordinate set, a landmark, or an address. In this example, we will use The White House as our custom location which has an address of:

1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20500

Searching for an Address

Creating a custom location

Once you have searched for and identified a custom location you would like to add to your account, the only way to create it while planning your trip is to add it to the trip by clicking Add To Trip on the details card, or simply dragging the card into your trip itinerary.

By adding this location to your card, you will be presented with a dialog to identify the type of location it is:

The Add Custom Location Dialog

By default, this dialog is configured to add the location to this trip as a one-off trip item, not saved to your account as a custom location. To convert this item into a custom location, click the Custom button and give the location a memorable name. In our case for this example, we will label The White House My Custom Location, then click “Add to Trip” to add the newly-created custom location to our trip.

Creating a Custom Location From Dialog

That’s it! Your custom location has now been created while planning the trip. In the future, you can simply search for this custom location by name and identify it on the map by its custom-location marker. See Using Custom Locations for more information.

Disabling Routing

At times, you may find yourself wanting to disabling the routing for one or more items in your trip such as in the following examples:

  • You would like to put a stop on your trip, but don’t intend on driving your RV to that location
  • You would like to temporarily see what the route would look like for your trip if you didn’t make a particular stop

In these cases and others, Arvee provides the Disable Routing feature.

Disabling a route in your trip

To demostrate how disabling a route works, we have created a simple trip with three stops and we intend on disabling the routing for the 2nd stop in our trip.

To do this, we click the menu of our chosen stop, and select “Disabling Routing”:

Disabling Routing of a Trip Item

This will disable routing for the stop, which has now changed to indicate it is not longer being used in routing calculations:

Stop-over example

Impact of Disabling a route

When you disable a route, Arvee automatically recalculates the route with the disabled stop excluded from the path, allowing you to quickly understand the most efficient RV-safe route to take without actually deleting the stop:

Comparing Trips

Comparing trips is a powerful advanced feature in Arvee designed to help simplify the process of making changes to complicated trips. To effectively use it, you must first start by Making a Copy of your trip and then making changes to it.

Once you have made changes to your trip copy, you can compare the two trips to see what has been added, removed, or changed between them.

How to Compare Trips

To compare two trips, you start by selecting the two trips you wish to compare from the dashboard screen by long-pressing on each. When two have been selected, the “Compare Trips” button on the top of the dashboard will activate and can be clicked.

Comparing Two Trips

Warning

The order by which you select the trips for comparison matters! You should generally select the “old” trip first, followed by the “changed” trip.

This will bring up the trip comparison screen, which shows the two trips side-by-side in a way that visually indicates the changes between the two as shown in the following example.

An example of comparing two trips

Understanding a trip comparison

Interpreting a trip comparison is important to effectively using it. Each comparison is meant to be read line-by-line from the top to the bottom, and each row indicates the changes that are made in the trip.

No Changes

When there are no changes between the two trips for a particular destination in your itinerary, a single blue box will be shown.

An example of a no-change item

Date Changes

When the same destination between the two trips exists, but the arrival/departure dates of that desination have changed, it will be indicated with a purple box showing the changed dates.

Destination Added

When the first trip has a destination in its itinerary that does not exist in the second trip, a green box will be used to indicate it is a new stop in the itinerary.

An example of an added item

Destination Removed

When the second trip does not have a destination in its itinerary that the first trip did, a red box will be used to indicate it is a stop that has been removed from the itinerary.

An example of an added item

Splitting Trips

Sometimes when planning a trip, you may decide the trip has become too large. In these cases, you can use Arvee’s trip-splitting feature to break the trip apart into two more mangable trips quickly and easily.

Splitting a trip begins by opening a trip, and then selecting a trip item. The item you select should be where you want the new trip to begin from. Click the menu and choose the Split Trip Here menu item:

Select Split Trip Here

This will bring up the split trip dialog, where you can give the new trip being created a name, followed by clicking Split Trip to create the new trip.

Info

When splitting a trip, the start date for the new trip will be determined by the arrival date of the chosen trip item. In our example, the newly created trip would have a start date of March 31st.

Naming your new trip

Once you have created your new trip, you will be brought back to the dashboard page which will now have your original trip, plus the newly created split.

Trip Reminders

Arvee has a cool feature that lets you set up trip reminders. These reminders are different from normal calendar reminders because they change based on when you get to a place.

How Trip Reminders Work

Let’s see how it works with an example.

Some parks have rules about how soon you can book a visit. For instance, Dockweiler RV Park in Los Angeles, CA says you can’t book earlier than 90 days before you get there. So, if you want to be at the park on October 1, 2025, the soonest you can book is July 3, 2025.

This is where Arvee trip reminders help. You can set a reminder to alert you a certain number of days before your trip starts. These reminders can be added to your favorite calendar app. The best part is if your trip date changes, the reminder will change too!

Tip

If you have multiple active trips, all reminders from all active trips will automatically show up in your calendar when it syncs with our system.

Creating a Trip Reminder

To make a trip reminder, click the menu button for any part of your trip and then click “Add Reminder.”

Adding a Trip Reminder

Reminder Dialog

This opens a box where you set up your reminder. You can choose from some ready-made options for how many days before your trip you want the reminder, or you can click “Custom” and pick your own. You also need to give your reminder a name. This name will show up as the event title in your calendar.

Info

Below the name box, you’ll see that Arvee figures out the reminder date based on when you’ll arrive.

The Reminder Dialog

Editing or Deleting a Reminder

To change or remove a reminder, you do the same steps to open the reminder box. If a reminder is already there, it will say “Edit Reminder” instead of “Add Reminder.” From this box, you can change or delete your reminder.

Adding your reminders to your favorite calendar application

To put your reminders on your favorite calendar app, just follow the steps in our Calendar Sync article.

How Reservation Tracking Works

Making a Copy of a Trip

Making a copy of a trip is a great way to make changes without worrying about losing trip of your original itinerary. In Arvee, this process is very simple as well!

To copy a trip, long-press on the trip card from the dashboard screen to highlight it. Doing so will activate the “Copy Trip” button in the toolbar at the top of the dashboard. Just click “Copy Trip” and your trip will be copied.

Syncing Arvee To Your Calendar

Arvee supports iCal for both active trips and reminders attached to those trips, allowing you to bring your planning activities into your favorite calendar application on any device.

Activating iCal sync

To activate iCal support in your account, from the main planner page click the “Calendar” menu item. This will bring up the calendar settings page where you can enable your calendar.

Once in the calendar settings, click the switch next to “Enable iCal Calendar” to enable the feature.

Info

As is true with many aspects of Arvee, before you can use this feature you must have at least one trip created.

Enabling the iCal Feature

Understanding the different calendar URLs

Once enabled you will be given three separate subscription URLs – one of all of which can be imported into your favorite calendar application. Which one to choose depends on your own preferences and what you would like imported into your calendar.

  • Reminders Only: A calendar that only provides events for configured reminders in your trips, without trip details
  • Trips Only: A calendar that only provides events for destinations of your trip(s) based on arrival / departure dates
  • Reminders and Trips: A combined calendar that provides both trips and reminders together

Warning

Do not share this URL with anyone who you would not want to have access to your calendar and trip data!

What trips / reminders will be displayed?

The data provided to the calendar feed is based on Active Trips. If you have multiple active trips, it will include all of the relevant data from all of them. To limit what data is provided to the calendar, make sure you mark your trips as “archived” if they are no longer used.

Affiliate Marketing Program Agreement

This Affiliate Marketing Program Agreement (the “Agreement”) contains the terms and conditions that apply to your participation in the Arvee Affiliate Marketing Program (the “Program”). Please read this Agreement carefully. By clicking “I accept” or by participating in the Program, you represent that you (“Affiliate” or “you” or “your”) have read, fully understand, and agree to the terms of this Agreement with Arvee Solutions, Inc., doing business as Arvee, arvee.io, arvee.life, arvee.email, and arvee.me (“Arvee Solutions” or “Arvee” or “we” or “us” or “our”) in the State of Delaware, USA. In addition, if this Agreement is being executed on behalf of a legal entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to legally bind that entity to this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not participate in the Program.

Enrollment

In order to apply for enrollment into this Program, you must first sign up as an affiliate of Rewardful and agree to Rewardful’s Affiliate Service Agreement (the “Rewardful Agreement”), the terms of which are hereby incorporated by reference. You may apply to participate in the Program by providing all the information required by Rewardful in connection with becoming a Rewardful affiliate and by accepting the terms of this Agreement. After receiving your application, we will review your website and notify you of your acceptance or rejection into our Program. We reserve the right to accept or reject your application in our sole discretion; however, we encourage you to contact us if you feel we have made an incorrect decision. Including all of the websites that you use in your profile will help us make a better decision. If your application is accepted, you may obtain such discounts and affiliate commissions as are offered pursuant to this Program for so long as this Agreement is not terminated.

Payment

Payment and Commission Terms

As a participant in the Arvee Affiliate Program, you will earn a one-time commission of $10 USD for each new paid customer who signs up for an Arvee annual subscription through your unique referral link.

Commission Eligibility

Commissions are only awarded for first-time customers who complete a paid subscription. The referral must be made using your unique affiliate link, and the customer must sign up within 60 days of clicking your link. First-touch attribution is used: the affiliate whose link was clicked first will receive credit for the referral, regardless of any later affiliate clicks.

Payout Schedule

Commissions are paid monthly, within the first 15 business days of each month. A minimum balance of $30 USD is required before any payout is issued. All payouts will be made via PayPal to the PayPal account you have provided in your Rewardful affiliate account.

Refunds and Reversals

If a referred customer cancels their subscription or receives a refund within 30 days of purchase, no commission will be paid for that referral. Arvee reserves the right to withhold or reverse commissions in cases of suspected fraud, self-referrals, or violations of these terms.

Taxes

Affiliates are solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes due as a result of earnings from the Program. Arvee will issue IRS Form 1099-NEC to U.S.-based affiliates earning $600 or more in a calendar year. International affiliates may be required to submit a W-8BEN form.

Website Restrictions

Your participating website(s) (“Your Website”) may not infringe on our or anyone else’s intellectual property, publicity, privacy, or other rights. Violations include:

  • Violation of any law, rule, or regulation.
  • Containing any content that is threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, harmful to minors, or contains nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit materials.
  • Containing any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, or other computer programming routines intended to damage, interfere with, surreptitiously intercept, or expropriate any system, data, or personal information.
  • Utilizing software or technology that attempts to intercept, divert, or redirect Internet traffic to or from any other website, potentially enabling the diversion of affiliate commissions from another website.
  • Misleading customers about the products or services available on Your Website or on the Arvee website, located at http://arvee.io.

Linking to Our Website

Upon acceptance into the Program, links will be made available to you through the Rewardful affiliate website. Your acceptance in our Program means you agree to abide by the following:

  • Use only linking code obtained from the Rewardful affiliate website without manipulation.
  • Affiliates may not advertise our products on websites they do not own, including platforms such as Google Product Search, Amazon, eBay, or any comparison shopping engines such as Shopzilla or Pricegabber.
  • Your Website will not in any way copy, resemble, or mirror the look and feel of the Arvee Site.
  • Avoid any means to create the impression that Your Website is the Arvee Site, including, without limitation, framing the Arvee Site in any manner.
  • Avoid practices like cookie stuffing, including pop-ups, false or misleading links on Your Website, and attempt to mask the referring URL information.
  • Avoid using redirects to bounce a click off a domain from which the click did not originate to give the appearance that it came from that domain.
  • Avoid creating links that lead the customer to a destination site that is not clearly suggested by the content of the starting site.
  • Avoid creating affiliate tracking links that contain a tracking link for other referral programs (“Other Referral Programs”). Affiliates may participate in either the Program or Other Referral Programs, but individual links must be specific and exclusive to one of the programs.
  • Avoid using your affiliate links to claim commissions for your own purchases on arvee.io.

Pay-Per-Click (“PPC”) Guidelines

If you are enrolled in this Program and participate in PPC advertising, you must adhere to our PPC guidelines as follows:

  • Do not bid on any of our Trademarks (defined below), including any variations or misspellings thereof for search or content-based campaigns on Google, MSN, Yahoo, or any other network.
  • Do not use our Trademarks in sequence with any other keyword.
  • Do not use our Trademarks in your ad title, ad copy, display name, or as the display URL.
  • Do not direct link to the Arvee Site from any PPC ad or use redirects that yield the same result. Affiliates must be directed to an actual page on Your Website.
  • Do not bid in any manner appearing higher than Arvee for any search term in position 1-5 in any auction-style PPC advertising program.
  • If you automate your PPC campaigns, ensure exclusion of our Trademarks from your PPC advertising program and add our Trademarks as negative keywords. We maintain a strict no-tolerance policy on PPC trademark bidding. Violation may lead to immediate termination of your participation in the Program.

Trademarks

Upon acceptance into the Program, Arvee grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, royalty-free right to use the Trademarks of Arvee during the term of this Agreement solely in connection with your participation in the Program, provided that you shall not:

  • (a) use the Trademarks in any manner to communicate or suggest any sponsorship or other connection between Arvee and you other than your participation in the Program, and
  • (b) harm or adversely affect the Trademarks or the goodwill associated with the Trademarks.

All promotional messaging and materials used by you containing such Trademarks shall be subject to Arvee’s prior written approval. Except for the limited license provided in this Agreement, Arvee reserves all rights in and to the Trademarks and the goodwill associated therewith. All uses of the Trademarks by you shall be to the benefit of Arvee. You shall not acquire, directly or by implication, any rights or license in the Trademarks except as expressly provided in this Agreement. Your right to use the Trademarks will terminate immediately if you violate any of the terms of this Agreement. For purposes of this Agreement, “Trademarks” means “Arvee,” “Arvee.io,” “Arvee.life,” “Arvee.email,” “Arvee.me” the Arvee and Arvee Solutions logos and such other names, brand mascots, logos, trade names, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, design marks, brands, copyrights in any designs and other copyrightable subject matter, and other product identifiers of Arvee as Arvee may from time to time notify you to be Trademarks within the meaning of this Agreement.

Coupon Guidelines

If you are enrolled in our Program and Your Website promotes coupon codes, you must adhere to our Coupon Guidelines as follows:

  • You may ONLY advertise coupon codes that are provided to you through the Program or that are displayed on the Arvee Site. Posting any information about how to work around the requirements of a coupon/promotion (i.e. first-time customers only) will result in your removal from the Program. Coupons must be displayed in their entirety with the full offer, valid expiration date, and code.
  • You may NOT use any technology that covers up the coupon code and generates an affiliate click by revealing the code(s).
  • You may NOT advertise coupon codes obtained from our non-affiliate advertising, customer emails, paid search, or any other advertising campaign.
  • You may NOT give the appearance that any ongoing offer requires clicking from Your Website in order to redeem. For example, if a discount is being offered to software services, you may not turn this into an offer that infers that the customer must click from Your Website to get this deal.

Additionally, if (a) Your Website ranks on the first page of Google ad results for terms related to Arvee combined with the words coupon, coupons, coupon code, promo code, or any similar term and (b) your conversion rate exceeds 25%, then you will be entitled to a lower commission than our standard rate to offset the reduced profitability of orders.

Domain Names

Use of any of our Trademarks as part of the domain or sub-domain (for example arvee.website.com or www.arvee-coupons.com) for Your Website is strictly prohibited.

Advertising & Publicity

Upon acceptance into the Program, Arvee grants you a nonexclusive, nontransferable license (the “License”) to use certain banner advertisements, button links, text links, and/or other graphic or textual material (the “Promotional Materials”) for display and use on Your Website. The term of the License shall expire upon the expiration or termination of this Agreement. You may not subcontract, assign, resell, lease, or sublicense any part of your participation in the Program or run a sub-affiliate program. Arvee may make Promotional Materials available to you to display and use on Your Website provided that the manner of display complies with the following requirements:

  • You may only use the Promotional Materials to promote the Arvee Site (and the products available thereon) and for linking to the Arvee Site.
  • You shall use only such links to the Arvee Site as are provided to you by Arvee.
  • You shall not alter, add to, subtract from, or otherwise modify the Promotional Materials as they are prepared by Arvee without consent from Arvee. If you wish to alter or otherwise modify the Promotional Materials, you must obtain prior written consent from Arvee for such alteration or modification.
  • You shall not use the Promotional Materials to promote the Arvee Site (and the products available thereon) to customers who are not physically located in the United States.
  • You shall not create, publish, distribute, or print any written materials that make reference to our Program unless you adhere to the following:
    • Abide by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (Public Law No. 108-187) with respect to the distribution of any written materials.
    • Emails must be sent on your behalf and must not imply that the email is being sent on behalf of Arvee.
    • Emails and any related written materials must first be submitted to Arvee for approval prior to being sent or Arvee must be sent a copy of the email.

Reversal & Communication Policy

Arvee takes pride in its very low reversal rate, which we attribute to open communication with our affiliates. However, we reserve the right to reverse orders due to order cancellations, duplicate tracking, returns, disputed charges, and Program violations as outlined in this Agreement. Additionally, if we ask you for clarification or more information on any orders or clicks that we suspect may be in violation of this Agreement, we expect that you will respond in a timely and honest manner. Below are violations of our communications policy:

  • You are not forthcoming, intentionally vague, or are found to be lying.
  • You are not responsive within a reasonable time period and after multiple attempts to contact with information listed in your network profile.
  • You cannot substantiate or validate the source of your traffic to our Program with clear and demonstrable proof.

If any of the above applies, we reserve the right to reverse orders, set your commission to 0%, or suspend you from the Program for the period or orders in question. We know that many violations are a result of automated processes; however, it is incumbent upon you to ensure that you have the appropriate checks and balances in place to proactively address these issues and adhere to our Program.

Arvee reserves the right to reverse or withhold commissions for self-referrals, suspected fraudulent activity, chargebacks, or violations of this Agreement.

Intellectual Property

Arvee retains all right, title, ownership, and interest in the Promotional Materials and Trademarks, including any and all copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights therein. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to grant you any right, title or ownership in the Promotional Materials, or in the underlying intellectual property, other than the right to use the Promotional Materials in accordance with the License, as set forth in Section 8.

Relationship of Parties

This Agreement shall not be construed to create any employment relationship, agency relationship, or partnership between Arvee and you. You shall provide services for Arvee as an independent contractor. You shall have no authority to bind Arvee to any agreement, nor shall you be considered to be an agent of Arvee in any respect.

Affiliate Commissions

Upon acceptance into the Program, you will be eligible to receive an affiliate commission (the “Commission”) for the successful completion of Eligible Purchases. An “Eligible Purchase” occurs when a customer (not you) clicks through the link (supplied by Arvee to you) to the Arvee Site and the potential customer successfully completes a subscription purchase.

Arvee Brand Voice Guide

1. Target Audience

Our ideal customer is a full-time RVer who is constantly traveling across the country. They move from place to place, often over weeks rather than days, exploring new areas each time. The broader target audience includes RVers of all ages, such as families, solo travelers, and remote workers. The unifying criteria for our target audience is they are taking substaintial trips with multiple stops, rarely taking the same route between trips.

Good Target Examples

  • RVers who travel full time in their RV, moving frequently
  • RVers who have a home, but take their RVs out for month-long trips

Bad Target Examples

  • RVers who are full time, but move their rigs little to none
  • RVers who regularly visit the same campgrounds season-to-season (e.g. snowbirds)
  • RVers who generally travel within 5-10 hours of their home only

While many RVers are older, the demographic is becoming younger as more people embrace the RV lifestyle and work remotely.

Emotionally, RVers are excited by their adventures, but often overwhelmed by the planning and logistics that come with it. Living in an RV also means dealing with frequent issues, like equipment breakdowns, which add stress to their travels. They seek ways to simplify their lives, reduce stress, and make the journey easier.

2. Brand Personality

Arvee’s personality, if it were a person, would be:

  • Friendly
  • Helpful
  • Dependable
  • Smart
  • Adventurous and fun

When interacting with Arvee, we want customers to feel that we are approachable and down-to-earth, while also being respected as a trusted authority. We aim to make RVers’ lives easier, ensuring they can enjoy their travels without unnecessary stress.

3. Tone

Arvee’s tone strikes a balance between:

  • Friendly and professional
  • Adventurous and practical
  • Empathetic, yet authoritative in understanding the RV lifestyle

We combine the spirit of adventure with a clear, practical approach to solving problems. While we understand the stress RVers face, we aim to offer solutions that make their journey more enjoyable and less burdensome.

4. Language and Vocabulary

Our language should be:

  • Simple and clear, avoiding unnecessary jargon
  • Accessible to both experienced RVers and beginners without sacrificing depth or meaning
  • Lightly humorous, using clever wordplay and family-friendly humor that connects with RVers on common experiences

When describing our product, we strive to keep text concise but informative. We utilize animated visuals where possible to create dynamic “mini-movies” that help communicate complex ideas quickly and engagingly.

Marketing visuals should reflect adventure and fun, often featuring RVs in natural settings (mountains, lakes, deserts), highlighting the lifestyle we support.

5. Consistency Across Platforms

Visual Identity

  • Logos:
    • The full “Arvee” logo (black or white depending on context)
    • The mini logo (only the “A” pirate-hat, in black or white)
  • Color Scheme: Refer to our Color Scheme for detailed guidelines.

Voice Across Platforms

Maintaining a consistent voice across platforms is critical for building brand recognition and trust. Whether it’s an email, a social media post, customer support interaction, or website content, our voice should always feel like it’s coming from the same brand.

  • Social Media Posts:

    • Playful Posts: Informal language, engaging with users through comments, memes, and lighthearted content that resonates with RVers’ daily experiences.
    • Informative and Friendly Posts: More product-focused, providing value with clear, authoritative messaging.
  • Email Newsletters: Strike a friendly yet informative tone. Provide updates, promotions, and helpful content to support RVers on their journeys.

  • Website Copy: Informative, yet approachable. Ensure clarity in explaining the value propositions and benefits of Arvee’s tools.

  • Blog Posts: Story-driven, aligning with the adventurous spirit of RV travel. These posts should feel engaging, inspirational, and community-focused.

6. Core Values and Mission

Core Messaging

  • Arvee is the easiest tool for RV trip planning.
  • Despite its simplicity, Arvee is as powerful—if not more so—than other planners.
  • Arvee is deeply customer-centric, fully invested in the RV community.

Brand Values

  • Simplicity: We strive to make RV trip planning easy and intuitive.
  • Reliability: Our platform is designed to be dependable, ensuring users can trust Arvee with their trip plans.
  • Adventure: Arvee is all about making travel exciting and stress-free, supporting RVers in their adventures.
  • Community: We are a part of the RV community, our staff live this lifestyle, and our users are at the heart of what we do.

7. Emotional Impact

These are the guidelines to use when representing the brand in various aspects. Whenever possible they should be followed in any marketing or content produced to maintain consistency across the brand.

Logo

Please see the Logo Guidelines for specific logo-related brand guidelines.

URL

Note

These guidelines are when a URL is presented to a user to read in text such as on a postcard, website, etc. and are not relevant regarding technical links themselves (such as inside a <a href=""> tag)

Because Arvee primarily operates on a less-common URL, it is important that any time the URL is displayed for customers to read, it follows the appropriate format:

❌ URL Don’t

  • Don’t use arvee.io by itself
  • Don’t add www in front of the URL (e.g. www.arvee.io)
  • Don’t add any query parameters or other information to the URL (e.g. www.arvee.io?via=foo)

✅ URL Dos

  • Always include https:// in front of the URL (e.g. https://arvee.io)
  • Always use descriptive short URLs for deeper content (e.g. https://arvee.io/affiliates)

Typography

This set of typefaces best represent the bold and modern feel of the brand and should be used across all print and web applications.

Note, for content variantions of style other than Regular are permitted if warranted

Iconography

Arvee makes ample use of Material Design when designing icons for the brand, and all icons and iconography should match these design guidelines.

To that end, we recommend use of the Google Material Design Icon Font or, alternatively, the more robust Material Design Icons library if possible.

Logo Guidelines

Arvee’s logo embodies the spirit of adventure and whimsy, with the bold and playful font and the A shaped like a sail with a pirate hat, evoking the sense of exploration and fun that comes with traveling the country in an RV.

Logo Sizing

The minimum logo sizing provides the smallest possilbe reduction in which the logo is still easy to read in exceptional circumstances.

Smaller sizes for print may be necessary. In such cases, legibility should always be your top priority.

Generally speaking, the smallest size for the medium should be 1 inch high.

❌ Logo Don’ts

  • Don’t rotate the logo.
  • Don’t stretch or skew the logo.
  • Don’t enclose the logo.
  • Don’t add a drop shadow to the logo.
  • Don’t alter the color of the logo.
  • Don’t crowd the logo. Always leave white space around the logo.

Testimonial Email: “How One RVer Took the Stress Out of Trip Planning”

Subject: 🚐 “We finally enjoyed the drive instead of dreading the logistics…”

Body:

Hey [First Name],

I want to share a quick story from a fellow RVer named Lisa who recently tried Arvee — and now swears she’ll never plan another trip without it.

“Before Arvee, planning our RV trips meant juggling 10 different tabs, spreadsheets, Google Maps, and campground reservation emails. I’d spend hours trying to make it all work — and still forget something every time. Arvee changed that.”

Lisa and her husband had been planning their summer route across the Pacific Northwest — a mix of national parks, harvest host stops, and full-hookup campgrounds. With Arvee, they:

  • Added their RV specs and got a custom route that avoided unsafe roads
  • Used the Data Market to find grocery stops and propane refills
  • Forwarded their reservation emails and let Arvee organize the whole trip
  • Set reminders so they wouldn’t miss reservation windows again

“The best part? We finally got to enjoy the trip itself — not just the destination.”

If you’re tired of spreadsheets and scattered bookmarks, give Arvee a shot. It’s free to try and takes just a few minutes to get started.

Change Log

Interested in what’s been added, fixed, or otherwise improved in Arvee? You’ll find a summary of changes here.

1.3.6 — April 17th, 2025

Added

  • Multiple improvements to the routing engine
    • Routing engine now has support for avoiding various road conditions beyond ferries / tolls such as
      • Avoiding invalid routes when carrying propane
      • Avoiding tunnels
      • Avoiding dirt roads
      • Avoiding routes that require U-turns

These new routing settings can be found in the settings screen under the Routing tab

Changed

  • Importing Trips now happen immediately, instead of asking users to wait for an email.
  • Imported Trips are now immediately opened once they have been successfully imported.

Removed

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug where updating the routing settings didn’t force an update to the route being displayed

Security

1.3.5 — April 14th, 2025

Added

  • Added the ability to write notes for each trip item in a trip
  • Added the ability to import notes from other platforms when importing trips

Changed

  • Added new details to the calendar export to show the actual address / GPS coordinates for each stop in the description
  • Fixed a bug where the location information wasn’t being interpreted by Google Calendar correctly
  • Fixed a bug where events in the calendar export weren’t being marked as “free” vs. “busy”

1.3.4.c18200 — April 7th, 2025

Added

Changed

  • Significantly improved performance when loading / refreshing the route during planning
  • Improved the functionality of editing trip dates to be more flexible and intuitive.

Now when you edit a trip item’s date, you are only presented with the possible dates you can select, and subsequently the range from that start date you can select. This ability of the application to do the “heavy lifting” in figuring out what dates are valid in what context should greatly improve this aspect of planning trips.

Fixed

  • [DB UPDATE] Fixed data issues for select campgrounds that were reporting incorrect GPS coordinates
  • Fixed a bug where you could accidently fail to select a date range when setting fixed dates, causing a route validation error
  • Fixed a bug where you could not change the order of route items by editing the date of a route item (e.g. move it ahead or behind another, flexible, route item)
  • Fixed a bug where unplanned nights between the first and second item in the trip wouldn’t display
  • Fixed a bug where you could not move a trip item backward into a gap in the plan from the item editor dialog
  • Copying or Deleting a trip no longer transfers you to the create-trip map after the operation completes
  • Fixed a bug in the trip import tools that sometimes prevented trips from properly being imported.

1.3.b73cca8 — Feb 18th, 2025

Added

  • Improved error reporting for the end users if something goes wrong trying to save a route
  • Changed the behavior of disabling a route item. Doing so now removes any date information for the item and user is asked to confirm before doing so.
  • Added the ability to create/modify trip reminders for unrouted stops in a trip (useful when you have a destination you want to track, but can’t book yet).

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug where you could not create a new trip from just a city, state
  • Fixed a bug that prevented users from altering routes that had reminders set in them under certain circumstances

1.3.1 - Feb 12th, 2025

Added

  • Added a new link to the user menu for the User Manual
  • Addressed a bug where some telemetry wasn’t being properly reported
