1.3.6 — April 17th, 2025

Added

• Multiple improvements to the routing engine
  • Routing engine now has support for avoiding various road conditions beyond ferries / tolls such as
    • Avoiding invalid routes when carrying propane
    • Avoiding tunnels
    • Avoiding dirt roads
    • Avoiding routes that require U-turns

These new routing settings can be found in the settings screen under the Routing tab

Changed

• Importing Trips now happen immediately, instead of asking users to wait for an email.
• Imported Trips are now immediately opened once they have been successfully imported.

• Added the ability to write notes for each trip item in a trip
• Added the ability to import notes from other platforms when importing trips

• Added new details to the calendar export to show the actual address / GPS coordinates for each stop in the description
• Fixed a bug where the location information wasn’t being interpreted by Google Calendar correctly
• Fixed a bug where events in the calendar export weren’t being marked as “free” vs. “busy”

• Significantly improved performance when loading / refreshing the route during planning
• Improved the functionality of editing trip dates to be more flexible and intuitive.

Now when you edit a trip item’s date, you are only presented with the possible dates you can select, and subsequently the range from that start date you can select. This ability of the application to do the “heavy lifting” in figuring out what dates are valid in what context should greatly improve this aspect of planning trips.

• [DB UPDATE] Fixed data issues for select campgrounds that were reporting incorrect GPS coordinates
• Fixed a bug where you could accidently fail to select a date range when setting fixed dates, causing a route validation error
• Fixed a bug where you could not change the order of route items by editing the date of a route item (e.g. move it ahead or behind another, flexible, route item)
• Fixed a bug where unplanned nights between the first and second item in the trip wouldn’t display
• Fixed a bug where you could not move a trip item backward into a gap in the plan from the item editor dialog
• Copying or Deleting a trip no longer transfers you to the create-trip map after the operation completes
• Fixed a bug in the trip import tools that sometimes prevented trips from properly being imported.

• Improved error reporting for the end users if something goes wrong trying to save a route
• Changed the behavior of disabling a route item. Doing so now removes any date information for the item and user is asked to confirm before doing so.
• Added the ability to create/modify trip reminders for unrouted stops in a trip (useful when you have a destination you want to track, but can’t book yet).

Fixed

• Fixed a bug where you could not create a new trip from just a city, state
• Fixed a bug that prevented users from altering routes that had reminders set in them under certain circumstances
